Remove the bulb socket for the tail light

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

CAUTION: Danger through light source.
Injury hazard! Risk of short circuits!

Disconnect light source from voltage supply before replacing: Switch off lighting system and ignition.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release the detents (1) by pressing them together and remove the bulb socket (2) from the tail light.

Turn the bulbs (1) by slightly applying counter clockwise pressure and remove them from the bulb socket (2).
