Install headlight

Replace the adjusting elements (2).

The adjusting elements (2) must not be reused.
Replace screws (1).

Position the headlamp (1).
Only press the screws (2) into the adjusting element until you feel a stop.
Screws (2) must not be screwed in.

Tighten screw (2) on headlamp (3) hand-tight.
Press the screw (1) into the adjusting element only until it reaches a stop noticeably.
The screw (1) must not be screwed in.

Check the clamps (1) for damage.
Check chrome ring for firm seating.
Release detents (1) and remove chrome ring from hood.

Insert the special tool 2 449 464 into the hood from the outside.
Secure special tool 2 449 464 using special tool 2 361 199.

Close the engine compartment lid.
The hood must be closed correctly on both sides.
Position the special tool 2 361 198 (C) on headlight (1).
Lift, align and hold the headlight (1) using special tool 2 361 198 (C).

Keep the aligned headlight (1) in position with special tool 2 361 198 (C).
Tighten the screws through the openings of the special tool 2 449 464 .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Headlight to body
screw Replace screws and adjusting elements	Tightening torque	6Nm

Connect the connector (arrow).
Clip in cable clip.

Connect the connector (1) on headlight (2).
Connector must audibly engage.

Position the chrome ring in the hood.
The clamps (1) must snap-in noticeably.
