Removing the rear bumper cover

- Protect working area.
- Handle tools and components carefully.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT TAIL LIGHTS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR RIGHT UNDERBODY PLANKING .
- Loosen screws (1) left and right.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Release the bumper cover (1) at the detents in the area (2).
- Remove the bumper cover (1) with the help of a support person.
Unlock and disconnect the plug connections for rear fog lights and if necessary the ultrasonic sensors.
