52 26 311 Removing and installing/replacing lock for left or right rear seat backrest (Cooper 2-door hatchback models, 2020-2023)
IMPORTANT:
- Microencapsulated screws must be coated with Loctite if they are to be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 min. (start of hardening)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened.
- Thread of nut must be cleaned beforehand in event of repeated use
Removal:
Unclamp cover (1) and remove.
Release welt in area (1).
Press seat cover and upholstery slightly to one side.
Unclip cover (1) by releasing detents (2) and remove.
Unscrew the screws (1).
Remove the lock (2).
Installation:
Position lock (2).
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque 52 26 1AZ .
Clip in cover (1).
Ensure that detents (2) correctly engage.
Secure welt in area (1).
Clip in cover (1).
