71 60 700 Removing and installing/replacing trailer tow hitch control unit (Cooper 4-door hatchback and Cooper 2-door hatchback, 2020-2023)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove RIGHT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL .

Removal: 

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Loosen the retaining lugs (2) and remove the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (3) from the holder.

Installation: 

Insert the control unit for the trailer tow hitch (3) into the holder and lock it on the retaining lugs (2).

Connect and lock the plug connections (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL, RIGHT .
