Replacing Rear Left Outer Wheel Arch Section (Rear Quarter Panel Removed) Rep-Rep-RAF5641-4114XXX - V.1 (Cooper 2-Door Hatchback, 2020-2023)

Procedure OBSERVE  repair stage 3!

Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .

Spot-weld bonding is used on this vehicle.

Observe specific PROCEDURE .

Use only an approved SPOT WELDER  for repairs!

The following new parts are required (see Electronic Parts Catalog):

• (1) Rear outer wheel arch section
• Outer cavity acoustic baffle B-pillar

Removal

Remove cavity sealing (1).

Open welded connections in area (2).

Mark and perform separating cut (3) according to the dimension and the schematic diagram.

Measurement a = approximately 20 mm from radius.

New part preparation 

Mark severance cut on new part according to severance cut on vehicle + 20 mm material extra and cut.

Adjust new parts in combination with side wall to fit and secure.

Prepare the new part for joining by welding in this area (1).

Installation

Install outer wheel arch section and weld in area (1).

Apply sealant to new CAVITY ACOUSTIC BAFFLE . Install cavity sealing (2).
