41 14 505 Replacing Rear Left Outer Wheel Arch Section (Rear Quarter Panel Removed) Rep-Rep-RAF5641-4114505 - V.3 (Cooper 2-Door Hatchback, 2020-2023)

Procedure OBSERVE repair stage 3!

Read contents of BODY, GENERAL .

For stripping and rebuilding operations, refer to surrounding text on the KSD (FRU number 41 14 505).

Spot-weld bonding is used on this vehicle. Observe specific PROCEDURE .

Use only an approved SPOT WELDER for repairs!

The following new parts are required (see Electronic Parts Catalog):

(1) Rear outer wheel arch section
Shaped part B-pillar, outer

Removal

Remove cavity sealing (1).

Open welded connections in areas (2).

OPEN spot-welded adhesive joints in area (3) and remove outer wheel arch section.

New part preparation

Adjust new part in combination with the side panel.

Prepare outer wheel arch section in areas (1) and (2) for joining by welding.

Remove adhesive residues in the area (2).

IMPORTANT: The joining areas predominantly contain 3-sheet connections. Prepare the new part accordingly so that all 3 sheets are welded to each other.

Installation

Install outer wheel arch section and weld in areas (2) and (3).

Apply sealant to new CAVITY ACOUSTIC BAFFLE . Install cavity sealing (1).
