63 31 320 Replacing the LED module in the front door trim panel on the left or right (Cooper 2-door hatchback models, 2020-2023)

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Door opener 

Disconnect connector (1).

Release LED module for side trim panel (2) from holder.

Door opener 

Release fiber-optic conductor (2) on detent by using a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) out of LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Unlock and disconnect connector on LED module for side trim panel (2).

Carefully release fiber-optic conductor (1) from holder.

Release LED module for side trim panel (2) from holder.

Door pocket: 

Release fiber-optic conductor (2) on detent by using a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) out of LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door trim panel 

Unlock and disconnect connector on LED module for side trim panel (2).

Release LED module for side trim panel (2) with fiber-optic conductor out of holder.

Door trim panel 

Release fiber-optic conductor (2) on detent by using a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull fiber-optic conductor (2) out of LED module for side trim panel (1).

Installation: 

Door opener 

Join fiber-optic conductor (2) in LED module for side trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door opener 

Feed in LED module for side trim panel (1) with fiber-optic conductor into holder (2) and door trim panel.

Connect connector to LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Join fiber-optic conductor (2) in LED module for side trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Feed in LED module for side trim panel (2) with fiber-optic conductor into holder (1) and door trim panel.

Connect connector to LED module for side trim panel (2).

NOTE: Ensure fiber-optic conductor (1) and LED module for side trim panel (2) are correctly fitted in holder and door trim panel.

Door trim panel 

Join fiber-optic conductor (2) in LED module for side trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in LED module for side trim panel (1).

Door trim panel 

Feed in LED module for side trim panel (1) with fiber-optic conductor into holder.

Connect connector to LED module for side trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure fiber-optic conductor and LED module for side trim panel are correctly fitted in holder and door trim panel.
