- Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
- Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT AND RIGHT TAIL LIGHTS .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Detach wheel arch trim (1) from the detents along the dashed line.
- Detach the wheel arch trim (1) at the clips (2) and (3).
- Loosen screws (1) left and right.
- Release all bolts (arrows).
- Release the bumper cover (1) from the detents in dashed line area.
- Remove the bumper cover (1) with the help of a support person.
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connections for the rear fog lights and/or ultrasonic sensors.
