65 50 200 Removing and installing (replacing) central instrument (Cooper Convertible)

Special tools required: 

• 00 9 327

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove DASHBOARD COVER .

Removal: 

Unclip and remove cover (1) upwards with special tool 00 9 327.

Unscrew the screws (1).

Unlock locking mechanism (1) with screwdriver in arrow direction and at the same time pull central instrument towards passenger compartment.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove central instrument (2).

Replacement: 

• Modify SWITCH for hazard warning flashers.
• Remount RADIO .

Installation: 

Join plug connections (1) to central instrument (2) and lock.

Press detent (1) on central instrument (3) on left and right in arrow direction.

Detent (1) must engage on left and right behind IHKA control panel (2).

Press on central instrument at top on dashboard and engage.

Tighten down screws (1).

Engage cover (1) correctly in dashboard (2).

Required reworking: 

• Install DASHBOARD COVER .

Replacement: 

Up To Build Date 11/2014: Carry Out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
