Removing the drive unit with the assembly frame
- Load the vehicle in the driver's footwell and the front passenger footwell with 25 kg respectively.
- Secure the special tool 2 356 947 onto the assembly frame at the positions (1) and (2) .
- Refer to the 2 diagrams below for exact positioning of the special tool 2 356 947

- Observe the correct position of the special tool 2 356 947
.
- Observe the correct position of the special tool 2 356 947

- Cover the area (3)
with suitable auxiliary materials in such a way that the hood (2)
cannot be damaged by the workshop crane (1)
.
- Place the special tool 2 356 947 at the workshop crane as shown.
- Position the workshop crane as shown.
- Lift the workshop crane in such a way that the special tool 2 356 947
is slightly under tension.
- Loosen screws (1) .
- Lower the drive unit with the assembly frame by approx. 5 cm.
- Remove the drive unit with the assembly frame by approx. 10 cm towards the front.
- Release the hose clamps (1) using special tool 0 495 794 (17 2 050) and remove the coolant hoses .
- Seal the openings on the heat exchanger with special tool 0 494 179 (32 1 270)
.
- Carefully remove the drive unit with the assembly frame forwards.
- During removal, make sure that no components get caught.
- Expose components, if necessary.
