62 11 280 Removing and installing instrument cluster (Cooper 4-door hatchback and Cooper 2-door hatchback 2020-2023, except EV)

Attention! 

Comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD PROTECTION ).

Preliminary work needed: 

• CLAMP OFF BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT .

Removal: 

If necessary, lever out plugs (2) with a suitable tool (e.g. screwdriver Tx15).

Release screws behind.

Detach instrument cluster (1) in direction of steering wheel.

Disconnect connector (1) and remove instrument cluster (2).

Installation: 

Connect connector (1) to instrument cluster (2).

Join instrument cluster (1).

Tighten the screws.

Tightening torque 62 11 1AZ .

If necessary, join plugs (2).

Required follow-up work: 

• Connect BATTERY CABLE NEGATIVE TERMINAL .

For replacement: 

• PROGRAM/ENCODE .
