51 49 003 Removing and installing/replacing cover for rear window frame on left or right (Cooper 4-door hatchback and Cooper 2-door hatchback, 2020-2023)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove UPPER REAR WINDOW FRAME COVER .
• Remove TRIM FOR REAR LID AT BOTTOM .

REMOVAL: 

Detach retaining cord (1) for rear storage shelf and release screw (2).

Release trim panel (1) from clip (2) and remove.

Installation note: 

Replace the faulty clip (2).

INSTALLATION: 

Position trim panel (1).

If required, replace clip (2).

Engage clip (2).

Tighten screw (2) and attach retaining cord (1) for rear storage shelf.

Required reworking: 

• Install TOP REAR WINDOW FRAME COVER .
• Install BOTTOM TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
