Install front seat

All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

WARNING: Airbag unit.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

After continuing work on the front seat: Disconnecting the front seat from the wiring harness of the vehicle and removing it from the universal seat mount

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Only use the following steps if the front seat has to be adjusted electrically.

Disconnect the special tool 0 496 519 (61 4 150) from the wiring harness of the vehicle and from the removed front seat.

Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Remove front seat from the special tool 2 473 334 .

Scratches, surface damage.

Protect working area.
Handle tools and components carefully.

Cover the door sill using protective covers.

Remove and install heavy components with the aid of another person/other persons.

With the assistance of another, lift the front seat into the vehicle and position.
Place front seat to the rear and connect the connector (1).
Adjust the front seat to the rear.
Replace screws (1).
Parts: Screws
Tighten down screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Seat to body
Cheese head screw with collar Replace screw.	Tightening torque	42 Nm

Adjust front seat forward.
Replace screws (1).

Tighten down screws (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Seat to body
Cheese head screw with collar Replace screw.	Tightening torque	42 Nm
