63 10 004 Adjusting headlights (Cooper 4-door hatchback and Cooper 2-door hatchback, 2020-2023)
Carry out headlight adjustment at adjustment screws (1) and (2).
Adjustment screw (1) - priority for vertical adjustment
Adjustment screw (2) - priority for lateral adjustment
A definite allocation of adjustment screws is not possible.
- Carry out height adjustment at adjustment screw (1)
US version only:
Only set the lateral adjustment if the safety PLUG IN THE LATERAL ADJUSTMENT SCREW IS MISSING OR DAMAGED .
If necessary, remove damaged plugs using a suitable tool.
- Carry out lateral adjustment at adjustment screw (2)
After headlight adjustment:
Perform reference run. For this purpose, switch off and on the headlights. Check again headlight adjustment.
US version only:
If the lateral adjustment has been checked and CORRECTED, PUSH NEW PLUG INTO THE ADJUSTMENT SCREW FOR THE LATERAL ADJUSTMENT without damaging it.
