Installing the tailgate seal

• Remove the rest of the sealant from the sheet steel flange.
• Clean the sheet metal flange with cleaning agent R2.

• Replace tailgate seal (1).

• Mount tailgate seal (1) starting from the sealing joint (2).

• Ensure that the tailgate seal (1) rests correctly on all adjacent trim panels.

Check 

• Check the closing function of the trunk lid.

Result 

» The trunk lid does not close.

Measure

• Ensure that the tailgate seal (1) rests correctly on all adjacent trim panels.
