Replacing the bumper cover lower section

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Mechanical effects .
Paint damage .

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER PANEL .
Refer to REMOVING THE DIFFUSER .

NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.

Release the expanding rivet (1) .

Release and remove bumper cover lower section (1) from all the detents along the dotted line.

Replace the bumper cover lower section (1) .
Parts: Bumper trim panel lower part
Engage bumper cover lower section (1) into all the detents along the dotted line.

Mount the expanding rivets (1) .
