63 31 320 Replacing LED module in front door trim panel on left or right (Cooper 4-door hatchback models, 2020-2023)

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Door opener 

Disconnect the connector (1).

Release the LED module for door trim panel (2) from the holder.

Door opener 

Release the fiber-optic conductor (2) on the detent by means of a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull the fiber-optic conductor (2) out of the LED module for door trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Disconnect the connector of the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Carefully release the fiber-optic conductor (2) from the holder.

Release the LED module for door trim panel (2) from the holder.

Door pocket: 

Release the fiber-optic conductor (2) on the detent by means of a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull the fiber-optic conductor (2) out of the LED module for door trim panel (1).

Door trim panel 

Disconnect the connector on the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Release the LED module for the door trim panel (1) along with the fiber-optic conductor from the holder.

Door trim panel 

Release the fiber-optic conductor (2) on the detent by means of a screwdriver (3 mm blade).

Pull the fiber-optic conductor (2) out of the LED module for door trim panel (1).

Installation: 

Door opener 

Join the fiber-optic conductor (2) in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure the fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Door opener 

Feed in the LED module for the door trim panel (2) along with the fiber-optic conductor into the holder and the door trim panel.

Connect the connector (1) to the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

Door pocket: 

Join the fiber-optic conductor (2) in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure the fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Door pocket: 

Feed in the LED module for the door trim panel (2) along with the fiber-optic conductor (1) into the holder and the door trim panel.

Connect the connector to the LED module for the door trim panel (2).

NOTE: Ensure correct fit of the fiber-optic conductor (1) and the LED module for the door trim panel (2) in the holder and the door trim panel.

Door trim panel 

Join the fiber-optic conductor (2) in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure the fiber-optic conductor (2) is correctly fitted and engaged in the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

Door trim panel 

Feed in the LED module for the door trim panel (1) along with the fiber-optic conductor into the holder.

Connect the connector to the LED module for the door trim panel (1).

NOTE: Ensure the fiber-optic conductor and the LED module for the door trim panel are correctly fitted in the holder and the door trim panel.
