REP-TAT-P-6120-01-F56 Disconnecting the battery ground lead

NOTE: Damage to battery terminal, the safety battery terminal or the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
Damaged battery terminals can lead to malfunctions or vehicle electrical system faults.

• Detach battery terminal from battery pole by carefully shifting to and fro. Do not pry off using a tool.

NOTE: Observe safety instructions on HANDLING THE VEHICLE BATTERY .
Observe notes on DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING THE VEHICLE BATTERY .
Observe notes on the INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR (IBS) 

• Partially detach seal 1  .

• Release cap nuts 1  .
• Open locks 2  by turning to the left.
• Remove the windshield panel cover 3  .

• Slacken nut 1  .
• Remove battery ground lead 2  .
• Unlock the connector 3  on the intelligent battery sensor (IBS) and disconnect it.
• Secure the battery ground lead 2 on the side.
