Position of shaped parts for cavity sealing

To reduce interior noise and avoid condensation, cavities in certain areas of the body are closed off. To do this, shaped parts are inserted in the cavities. These shaped parts adapt themselves optimally due to heating of the body to approx. 180 °C by expanding to the shape of the cavities.
Because it is not possible to heat the body to this extent for a body repair, a different procedure has been specified for this situation. Refer to INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING WITH 2-COMPONENT PU CAVITY FOAM , INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING (EXPANDED) , and INSTALLING CAVITY SEALING (NOT EXPANDED) .
