Replacing safety pressure switch
Special tools required:
- 00 9 030
Refrigerant circuit is under high pressure!
Follow safety instructions for handling R134a refrigerant. Refer to: NOTE FOR HANDLING R134A REFRIGERANT or SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING TETRAFLUORETHANE REFRIGERANT R134A
Avoid contact with refrigerant and refrigerant oil.
Follow safety instructions for handling REFRIGERANT OIL .
Restart engine only when air conditioning has been correctly filled.
Follow INSTRUCTIONS for opening and replacing parts in refrigerant circuit.
If air conditioning is opened for more than 24 hours: Replace capacitor for HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM .
Preliminary work needed:
- Drain off AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM .
- Remove right HEADLIGHT .
Removal:
Detach gasket (1) towards the top.
Lift off windshield panel cover (1).
Release expansion rivet (1).
Remove screw (2).
Remove cover (3).
Unlock and open coolant line clip (1).
Remove screw (1).
Remove coolant line (2).
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release safety pressure switch (2).
Installation:
Tighten safety pressure switch (2).
Tightening torque 64 53 8AZ .
Join and lock plug connection (1).
Position coolant line (2) correctly.
Tighten screw (1).
Use special tool 00 9 030 to mount sealing rings without damaging them.
Close and lock coolant line clip (1).
Position cover (3) and secure with expanding rivet (1).
Tighten screw (2).
Feed in windshield panel cover (1) towards rear.
Press gasket (1) towards the bottom.
Required reworking:
- Install right HEADLIGHT .
- Evacuate and fill AIR CONDITIONING .
