Replacing actuator drive for right footwell flap

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove right GLOVE COMPARTMENT .

Removal: 

Disengage and remove air duct (1) on heating and air-conditioning unit.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew the screws (2).

Remove actuator drive (3).

Installation: 

Position actuator drive (3) correctly.

Tighten down screws (2).

Join and lock plug connection (1).

Position air duct (1) correctly and engage at heating and air-conditioning unit.

Replacement: 

Servomotors must be readdressed in the event of replacement!

Addressing can only be carried out with the BMW diagnostic system.

Service functions: 

• Body
• Heating/air conditioning function
• Flap motors
• Readdress flap motors

Required reworking: 

• Install right GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
