61 35 779 Replace Body Domain Controller control unit (BDC)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove/install BODY DOMAIN CONTROLLER (BDC)

Replacement:

Determine the action plan and carry it out.

Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING .

Initialize the component protection (only F54, F60):

After replacement of the BDC or after installation of a used head unit, the component protection in the head unit must be initialized once again.

For this purpose, the following steps must be carried out:

Request an enabling code from Technical Support.
Re-initialize the component protection with the diagnosis with the following immediate measure:
- Vehicle handling
- Software update
- Additional software
- Component protection initialization, head unit (HU)
