41 12 700 Stripping operations - Replacing luggage compartment floor and left side member (rear quarter panel and tail panel removed)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.

The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

Release nuts and remove heat shield (1).

Remove the heat shield via the exhaust pipe. (not shown).

Release grommets (2).

Detach wiring harness at attachment points (3).

Installation note: 

Ensure correct installation of the grommets (watertightness).

Release screw (1) and remove exhaust system holder.

Tightening torque 18 20 2AZ .

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release holder (2) and lay towards front.

Release wiring harness at attachment point (3).

Release grommets (4).

Unscrew nuts (1). Place the holder (2) for the control unit towards the front.

Release nut (1) for ground connection. Remove ground connection.

Tightening torque 41 34 1AZ .

Release wiring harness at attachment points (2).

Release the screw (3) and lay the control unit (4) towards the front.

Release insulating mat (5) and tie forwards.

Release screw (1) and remove unlocking mechanism (2).

Release screws (3) and remove holders.

Tightening torque 52 26 3AZ .
