84 10 530 Replacing the emergency battery for the telematics control unit in the vehicle interior (behind the glove box) (after vehicle diagnosis)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Open lid (1) on telematics control unit (2) and remove.

Disconnect plug.

Remove the emergency battery (1) from the telematics control unit (2).

Installation: 

Connect connector.

Insert the emergency battery (1) into telematics control unit (2) and connect the connector.

NOTE: Make sure the emergency battery and connector are correctly fitted.

Position and close lid (1) on telematics control unit (2).

NOTE: Make sure lid (1) is correctly fitted.
