62 11 280 Removing and installing instrument cluster

IMPORTANT: Comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT

Removal:

If necessary, lever out plugs (2) with a suitable tool (e.g. screwdriver Tx15).

Release screws behind.

Pull off instrument cluster (1) in direction of steering wheel.

Disconnect connector (1) and remove instrument cluster (2).

Installation:

Connect connector (1) to instrument cluster (2).

Join instrument cluster (1).

Tighten the screws.

Tightening torque: 2.8 Nm.

If necessary, join plugs (2).
