Mounting engine on assembly stand (B48, B46)

Special tools required: 

• 00 2 300
• 00 2 320
• 2 288 357
• 11 9 030
• 11 0 070

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove ENGINE WITH TRANSMISSION 
• Remove TRANSMISSION .
• Drain off MOTOR OIL

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove adapter plate (2).

Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ .

Prepare special tool 00 2 300 together with special tool 00 2 320 (00 2 321).

Prepare special tool 2 288 357 together with special tool 11 9 030 .

Lift engine (1) with workshop crane and special tool 11 0 070 from table lift (83 22 2 184 136).

Bolt special tools 11 9 030 and 2 288 357 to engine.

Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ .

Secure special tool 11 9 030 to assembly stand 00 2 300 .

Tightening torque: 11 11 5AZ .
