64 11 806 Removing and installing/replacing actuator drive for fresh/recirculated air flap

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove BOTTOM RIGHT DASHBOARD TRIM PANEL

Removal:

Loosen the screw (1) and feed out the air duct (2) downwards.

Release screws (1).

Unlock associated plug connection and disconnect.

Remove actuator drive with holder (2).

Replacement:

Release screw (1).

Unlock latch mechanisms (2).

Remove actuator drive (3).

Installation:

Position actuator drive (3).

Lock latch mechanisms (2).

Tighten screw (1).

Correctly position actuator drive with holder (2).

Tighten down screws (1).

Join and lock associated plug connection.

Feed in the air duct (2) and correctly engage at heating and air-conditioning unit.

Tighten screw (1).

NOTE: Ensure the air duct (2) is fitted correctly and securely.

IMPORTANT:

Servomotors must be readdressed in the event of replacement!

Addressing can only be carried out with the BMW diagnosis system.
