REP-TAT-P-2434-01 Manual emergency release of parking lock (8-speed, AISIN GA8F22AW)

Necessary preliminary work:

NOTE: In case of a power interruption (for example by a discharged battery or an electrical fault), the parking lock must be unlocked manually, otherwise the wheels will be blocked and the vehicle cannot move.

NOTE: Secure the vehicle from rolling away, for example with chocks.
Press the brakes in case of manually unlocking the parking lock. Otherwise there is a risk that the vehicle may roll away while manually unlocking the parking lock.

Vehicles with lever:

Turn the selector shaft with the lever from park (1) to the stop position in neutral (2) .

The parking lock is unlocked.

Vehicles without lever:

Using a wrench with key range 6, turn the selector shaft from park (1) to the stop position in neutral (2) .

The parking lock is unlocked.
