Replacing sealing cap (GS6-58BG, GS6-59BG/DG)

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage:
Damage to the transmission housing will result in oil leaks!

Knock in sealing cap (1) on the transmission with a slotted screwdriver and lever out.

Installation: 

Manually insert sealing cap (1) into transmission opening.

Drive sealing cap (1) flush to the stop with special tool 0 002 877.

Required follow-up work: 

IMPORTANT: After completion of work, check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
The vehicle must be parked on a level surface in the 095 workshop to check the transmission oil level.
Use only the approved transmission oil: MINI transmission oil MTF 2 or MTF 3.
Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.
