REP-TAT-P-5434-01 Removing the convertible top brace

Preliminary work

Open LOADING AID
Remove the TRIM STRIP on the convertible top
Remove the SEAL on the convertible top brace
Remove both CONVERTIBLE TOP BRACE LOCKS

NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.

Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) on the rear window heating.
Remove the wiring harness (3) from the tension strap loops (2).

Drill out the rivet (1) on the headlining (2).

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unclip the connector (2) from the convertible top brace bearing (3).

Lever out the protective cap (1) on the left and right.

Loosen left and right screw (1).

Carefully pull out the convertible top fabric (1) from the convertible top brace (2).
