61 61 021 Replacing left or right windscreen wiper blade

Attention  !

Make sure the wiper arm does not touch the windscreen without its wiper blade.

NOTE: In the event of a customer complaint  regarding the cleaning or wiping performance or noise build-up (scratching, squeaking) by the wiper blades, proceed as follows: First check  whether the complaint is caused by dirt (preservation wax on new vehicles, resins or other environmental influences) on the windscreen; if necessary, clean the windscreen thoroughly  ! Replace the wiper blades only if cleaning the windscreen fails to remedy the situation.

Removal: 

Remove ID transmitter (ignition key).

Fold out wiper arm (2).

Open lock (1).

Feed wiper arm (2) in direction of arrow out of wiper blade (3).

Installation: 

Feed wiper arm (2) against direction of arrow into wiper blade (3).

Close lock (1).

Fold in wiper arm (2).

NOTE: Make sure wiper blade (3) is seated correctly.

Attention  !

Before switching on terminal "R" or the ignition or starting the engine, you must fold the wiper arms onto the windscreen otherwise damage will be caused.
