61 71 100 Removing and installing/replacing windscreen washer pump

Before replacing the windscreen washer pump, check the washer fluid reservoir for dirt contamination and clean if necessary!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially release FRONT RIGHT FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER

Removal:

NOTE: Catch any escaping washer fluid if necessary.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Unlock hose pipes and disconnect from windscreen washer pump (2).

Pull windscreen washer pump (2) upwards out of washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.

If necessary, remove sealing ring with strainer (3) from washer fluid reservoir and windscreen washer pump (2).

Installation:

NOTE: Replace sealing ring with strainer (3).
Coat sealing ring (3) with lubricant.
Ensure hose pipes are laid without kinks.

Feed in windscreen washer pump (2) into washer fluid reservoir for window washer system.

Connect hose pipes to windscreen washer pump (2).

Connect the plug (1).

If necessary, top up washer fluid reservoir.
