61 13... Unlocking and disconnecting different plug connections

NOTE: The following describes unlocking and disconnecting different types of plug connections.

Differences in the details of the size and shape of the plug connections are possible.

  1. Press locking mechanism and open release fixture in arrow direction.

    Disconnect plug connection.

  2. Press locking mechanism and open release fixture in arrow direction.

    Disconnect plug connection.

  3. Open release fixture in arrow direction and disconnect plug connection in arrow direction.

  4. Press locking mechanism and disconnect plug connection in arrow direction.

  14. Press locking mechanism and open release fixture in arrow direction.

    Disconnect plug connection.

  15. Press the lock and detach plug connection.

  16. Pull out lock and press.

    Disconnect plug connection.

  17. Press the lock and detach plug connection.

  20. Plug connection, e.g. on the power distribution box:

    Press into the opening (2) using a suitable tool (1).

    Detach plug connection (3) upwards.

  21. Plug connection, e.g. on the power distribution box:

    Lift lock (1) with a suitable tool.

    Detach plug connection (2) upwards.

  22. Vibration resistant high power engine contacts:

    IMPORTANT: For this connector type, increased forces come into play when disconnecting and closing. 
    Disconnect: 
    First pull out locking mechanism (1) downward in arrow direction.
    Then press locking mechanism (1) down in arrow direction and detach connector.

    Close: 

    1. Press connector (1) down to the end position at positions marked with the arrow.
    2. Do not press connector (1) down through the lock.
    3. Connector (1) is in the end position, lock (2) is not yet locked.
    4. Press down locking mechanism (2) in the arrow direction until the tip of the lock (2) at position (3) is visible.

  23. Unlocking/locking front light combination plug connection & housing exchange after damage: Press in lever locking mechanism on both sides until lever is unlocked and can be moved.

    Move lever upwards to detent in end position.

    When lever is locked in end position, remove plug connection upwards.

    Unlock connector housing by raising respective locking tabs.

    After unlocking, push connector housing out.

    Push in connector housing to stop.

    Lock connector housing in end position.

    Push in to stop.

    Trigger insertion process by moving lever downwards.

    IMPORTANT: Detent on both sides only with complete insertion process.

    Unlocking by pressing on both sides.

    • A & B. To prevent damage to individual plugs, plug combination consisting of several individual plugs (1) & (2) must always be released before disconnecting plug connection.

    Disconnecting plug combination:

    Unlock snap-in hooks (1) in arrow direction (detailed illustration shows individual plug snap-in hooks).

    Release plug (2) in arrow direction from plug (1).
