61 35 360 Removing and installing control unit for camera-based driver support systems (KAFAS)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Clamp off BATTERY LEAD FROM NEGATIVE CONNECTION POINT
Remove RIGHT GLOVE BOX

Removal:

Release latch mechanism on equipment holder.

Feed out KAFAS control unit (1) from equipment holder (2).

Unlock connector (1) on KAFAS control unit (2) and disconnect.

Installation:

Connect connector (1) to KAFAS control unit (2).

Join KAFAS control unit (1) in equipment holder (2).

NOTE: Ensure latch mechanism of KAFAS control unit (1) is correct in equipment holder (2).
