61 35 278 Remove/install Body Domain Controller (BDC)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Attention!

Risk of damage to positive battery cable connector!

Unlock the positive battery cable connector: 

  1. Loosen lock (1) in direction of arrow.
  2. Unfasten catch (2) on positive battery lead connector (3).
  3. Remove positive battery lead connector (3) in direction of arrow.

Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1) in marked area.

Release latch mechanisms and pull control unit BDC (2) to the side out of holder.

Installation: 

Join control unit BDC (2) to the side in holder.

Connect all connectors (1) in marked area.

NOTE: Ensure control unit BDC (2) is correctly engaged in holder.

Attention  !

Risk of damage to positive battery cable connector!

Lock positive battery cable connector: 

  1. Join positive battery cable connector (3) against direction of arrow.
  2. Lock latch mechanism (2) to positive battery cable connector (3).
  3. Close lock (1) against direction of arrow.
