61 12 001 Replacing positive battery cable (from battery to front power distribution box)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Removal: 

Release upper housing section (1) from lower housing section in direction of arrow and remove.

Release nut (1) and remove positive terminal cable (2) of power distribution box positive battery cable.

Release nut (1) and remove positive terminal cable (2) of battery terminal positive terminal (3).

Installation: 

Join positive terminal cable (2) to battery terminal positive terminal (3) and tighten nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 21 3AZ .

Tighten positive terminal cable (2) to power distribution box positive battery cable with nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 21 3AZ .

NOTE: Risk of short circuits  !
Make sure flat positive terminal wire (2) is correctly seated.
NOTE: Retaining lugs on upper housing section (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Join upper housing section (1) in lower housing section in direction of arrow.

NOTE: Ensure upper housing section engages correctly (1) engages correctly in lower housing section.
