Replacing the holder for the wishbone on the left or right (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove WISHBONE .

Removal:

Insert special tool 11 0 420 into bore in wishbone pin.

Preparing special tool 31 2 100:

Replace original spindle by spindle 23 0 272.
Mount special tool 31 2 103 on special tool 31 2 102.

Position special tool 31 2 100 and detach holder with rubber mount (1) with spindle 23 0 272.

NOTE: When detaching wishbone, ensure that inner sleeve of rubber mount does not remain on wishbone pin.

Installation:

Coat the inside of the rubber mount using 4 UH 1460 lubricating oil (part number: 0 306 232).

Align holder with rubber mount (1) to wishbone (see graphic).

Slide holder with rubber mount (1) onto wishbone pin (2) up to stop.
