Checking compression of all cylinders (B48 and B46 engine) (Cooper S and John Cooper Works)

Special tools required:
- 11 0222
- 11 8 732
- 11 8 731
- 2 410 242
Preliminary work needed:
- Reading out the fault memory
- Rectify faults
- Delete fault memory
- Remove SPARK PLUGS .
Unscrew tip (1) from special tool 11 0 222.
IMPORTANT:
Then check the Schrader valve that is now visible for secure seating.
Prepare special tool 11 0 222 in conjunction with 11 8 732 and 11 8 731.
Screw special tool 11 0 222 into special tool 11 8 731 to 10 Nm.
Disconnect plug connection A46*6B on the DME control unit.
Connect special tool 2 410 242 to special tool 11 0 222 with the bayonet closure.
Screw in the 100-bar sensor (1) on the special tool 2 410 242 hand-tight.
Connect 100-Bar sensor (1) with the Integrated Measurement Interface Box.

Manually screw special tool 11 0 222 into the spark plug thread.
Follow diagnosis instruction.
Diagnosis path : Drive -> Motor Electronics -> compression test.
Required follow-up work:
- Install SPARK PLUGS .
- Connect all of the connectors to the injectors
- Delete fault memory
