(41 34 038 Stripping operations - Replacing tail panel outer section (partial replacement))

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.

The following list essentially represents the disassembly sequence.

Remove complete exhaust system (18 00 020)
Remove heat shield for rear silencer
Remove bumper panel (51 12 156)
Remove bumper support (51 12 050)
Remove guide for rear left and right bumper (51 12 828)
Remove tail panel trim at top (51 46 050)
Release seal for rear lid

Release screws (1) and remove shaft (2).

Release latch mechanisms and remove rear ventilation (1).

Release nuts and remove heat shield (2).

Release nuts and remove underbody panelling (3).

Installation note:

The rear ventilation must not be damaged! (watertightness).

All latch mechanisms must engage audibly.
