Replacing left or right windshield wiper blade (Cooper Convertible)

IMPORTANT: Make sure the wiper arm does not come in contact with the windshield without its wiper blade.
NOTE: In the event of a customer complaint  regarding the cleaning or wiping performance or noise build-up (scratching, squeaking) by the wiper blades, proceed as follows: First check  whether the complaint is caused by dirt (preservation wax on new vehicles, resins or other environmental influences) on the windshield; if necessary, clean the windshield thoroughly!  Replace the wiper blades only if cleaning the windshield fails to remedy the situation.

Removal: 

Remove ID transmitter (ignition key).

Fold out wiper arm (2).

Open lock (1).

Feed wiper arm (2) in the direction of the arrow out of the wiper blade (3).

Installation: 

Feed wiper arm (2) against the direction of the arrow into the wiper blade (3).

Close lock (1).

Fold in wiper arm (2).

NOTE: Make sure wiper blade (3) is seated correctly.

IMPORTANT: Before switching on terminal "R" or the ignition or starting the engine, you must fold the wiper arms onto the windshield to avoid any damage.
