Replacing rear left or right brake hose (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed:
- Read and comply with GENERAL INFORMATION .
Removal:
Press brake pedal down to floor and secure with pedal support.
NOTE:
The pedal support may only be released when the brake lines are reconnected.
This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank and air from entering the system when the brake lines are opened.

IMPORTANT:
Grip brake hose at square head (2) so that connecting piece cannot rotate in retainer.
Disconnect brake hose from brake line (1).
Disengage brake hose from holders (1).
Detach brake hose (2) from brake caliper.
Installation:
IMPORTANT:
Make sure that the brake hose is routed correctly!
Mount brake hose (2) on brake caliper.
IMPORTANT:
First tighten brake hose on brake caliper.
Never twist brake hose when installing it and avoid all contact with parts attached rigidly to the body.

Tighten down brake hose (2)
Tightening torque 34 32 3AZ .
Insert brake hose in holders (1).
IMPORTANT:
Grip brake hose at square head (2) so that connecting piece cannot rotate in retainer
Mount brake hose on brake line (1) and tighten down.
Tightening torque 34 32 1AZ .
Remove pedal support.
Required follow-up work:
- Vent the DSC BRAKE SYSTEM .
