Checking cylinder head for watertightness (B48 and B46 engines) (Cooper Clubman S and JCW)

Special tools required: 

• 2 361 215

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove CYLINDER HEAD .
• Remove ALL HYDRAULIC VALVE CLEARANCE COMPENSATING ELEMENTS 
• Remove ECCENTRIC SHAFT 

Unscrew nuts (1).

Tightening torque 11 62 1 AZ .

Remove trim strip (2).

Disassemble connecting bracket (1).

Attach special tool 2 361 215 to cylinder head and secure.

Required follow-up work: 

• Remove all special tools
• Install ALL HYDRAULIC VALVE CLEARANCE COMPENSATING ELEMENTS 
• Install ECCENTRIC SHAFT 
• Installing the CYLINDER HEAD 
• Assemble engine
