Replace combination disc (Head-Up Display) (Cooper)

Special tools required:

00 9 030

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Do not scratch glass pane of head-up display.

Preliminary work needed:

Remove TRIM for head-up display.
Connect diagnostic system

Removal:

Fold out service flap (1) in arrow direction.

NOTE: Undo the service flap (1) at the side using special tool 64 1 020.

Open the lock (1) in arrow direction on both sides with special tool 00 9 030.

Bring the combination disc (1) into the service position (B) using the diagnostic system.

Feed the combination disc (1) out of the Head-Up Display (2) in arrow direction.

Installation:

Feed the combination disc (1) into the Head-Up Display (2) in arrow direction.

Break-in the combination disc (1) in the Head-Up Display using the diagnostic system.

Close the lock (1) in arrow direction on both sides with special tool 00 9 030.

Close service cover (1) in arrow direction.

NOTE: Make sure the service flap (1) is properly engaged.
