Removing and installing/replacing bottom right wishbone
NOTE:
If the bottom wishbone is detached from the rear axle support/trailing arm, wheel alignment must be carried out after installation. Refer to: KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION
or KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove rear WHEEL .
- Remove TANK COVER on the right.
Removal:
Mark position of eccentric shim to trailing arm to simplify subsequent adjustment of rear axle.
Release nut and remove screw (1).
- If necessary, remove tapered slide for compact spare wheel.
Slacken nut (2).
Remove eccentric washer and unscrew screw.
Remove wishbone (3).
Installation note:
Tighten screw connection (1) and (2) in NORMAL POSITION .
Installation:
Align wishbone (3).
Insert bolt (2) and connect eccentric shim.
Align eccentric shim to marked position.
Tighten nut (2) in NORMAL POSITION (not until wheel alignment).
Part : Replace screw and nut (2).
Tightening torque 33 32 2AZ .
Insert bolt (1).
- If necessary, mount tapered slide for compact spare wheel.
Screw on new nut.
- Do not yet tighten to specified torque!
Part: Replace nut.
Shift vehicle into NORMAL POSITION .
Tighten nut of bolt (1) in normal position.
Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .
Required follow-up work:
- Mount right TANK COVER .
- Install rear WHEEL .
- Perform either KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION or KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE .
