Replace hydraulic pump of rear axle differential (AWD)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove the rear axle DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH .

Removal: 

Loosen screws (1).

Remove the hydraulic pump (2).

Installation: 

Coat both sealing rings (1) on the new hydraulic pump (2) with oil.

Attention! 

Check installation position. Failure to comply will result in severe damage to the hang-on clutch (suction hole twisted by 180°).

Position hydraulic pump (1). Wiring harness (2) must point up. See figure!

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 33 10 5AZ .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install the rear axle DIFFERENTIAL CLUTCH .
• Performing service function "LMV: Calibrating the pump motor"
