Stripping Operations - Replacing Outer And Inner Tail Panel Sections (Cooper Clubman F54)
NOTE:
Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.
- Clamp off battery ground lead. (FRU number: 61 20 900)
- Remove bumper cover. (FRU number: 51 12 156)
- Remove support for bumper cover at rear. (FRU number: 51 12 050)
- Remove guide for bumper on left and right. (FRU number: 51 12 828)
- Remove luggage compartment floor covering. (FRU number: 51 47 101)
- Remove upper tail panel trim. (FRU number: 51 46 050)
- Remove trunk wheel arch trim on left. (FRU number: 51 47 151)
- Remove right trunk wheel arch panel. (FRU number: 51 47 161)
- Remove exhaust system.
- Remove the heat shield for the rear silencer and the bumper cover.
- Partly loosen the seal for the split door.
Loosen the detents and remove the rear ventilation (1) on the left and right.
Installation note:
The rear ventilation must not be damaged! (watertightness).
All detents must engage audibly.
