Replacing Left Or Right C-Pillar Reinforcement (Tail Panel And Rear Quarter Panel Removed) (Cooper Clubman F54)

Observe procedure of REPAIR STAGE 3 !

Use only an approved SPOT WELDER for repairs!

The following new parts are required (see applicable BMW Parts Catalog):

D-pillar reinforcement
Inner D-pillar

Removal

Open welded connections in area (1).

Open welded connections in the area (1) and remove D-pillar reinforcement.

New part preparation

Prepare new parts for joining by welding.

Adjust new parts in combination with tail panel and side panel.

NOTE: The tail panel serves as a positioning aid in this operation and during installation. The new parts are not welded to the tail panel during installation. The joining of the tail panel takes place via the bonded rivet technology.

Installation

Install new parts in combination with tail panel as positioning aid.

Weld new parts in area (1).
