Removing and installing/replacing outer cover on left or right front seat (electric)

Removal: 

Slide cover (1) on safety belt (2) upwards.

Turn end lining (2) towards rear.

Carefully pull the retaining clip (1) towards the outside.

At the same time, feed out end lining (2) towards front.

Remove end lining (2) outwards.

Release expansion rivet (1).

Release cover (2) at bottom outwards from detents (3).

Pull cover (2) at bottom outwards slightly and release upwards from detents (1).

Installation: 

Position cover (1) on front seat from the top and secure with the top and bottom detents.

Position expanding rivet (2).

Make sure that the cover (1) is correctly fitted on the operating unit (3).

Insert strap fitting (2).

Retaining tab (1) must engage correctly behind the bolt (2).

Attention! 

Malfunction if detent is not correct.

Ask a second person to check the detent (two person principle).

Both persons must document that the work has been carried out correctly in the vehicle records.

Observe the subsequent animation.

Animation "Fasten seat belt at the seat" 

Slide cover (1) on safety belt (2) downwards.

Pull end lining forward, upward and backward.

If the end lining is not correctly engaged, it cannot be turned on the bolt!
