- Remove front STRAP FITTING

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the BATTERY GROUND LEAD from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Adjust the front seat fully to the rear.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Adjust the front seat fully to the front.
- Loosen screws (1).
- Disconnecting all battery ground leads

- Cover the door sill using protective covers.

- Remove the front seat with the assistance of an support person.

- Fit special tool 2 473 334 onto special tool 0 495 187 (00 2 300)

- Mount the front seat onto the special tool 2 473 334
.
To ensure a professional repair, it is recommended to use the special tool 0 495 187 (00 2 300) and 2 473 334 .
- In order to adjust the front seat in a removed state, the special tool 0 496 519 (61 4 150)
is required to connect with the vehicle wiring harness and the removed front seat.
- Connect special tool 0 496 519 (61 4 150) to the wiring harness of the vehicle and the removed front seat to adjust the front seat.
